Sedation Dentistry
Dental anxiety is real — and it shouldn’t cost you your health. Relax through any procedure.
Your comfort options
From taking the edge off to barely remembering
Sedation isn’t one-size-fits-all. Depending on your anxiety level, the procedure, and your health history, we’ll match you with the right level of relaxation — from mild calm where you’re fully alert, to deeper sedation where the appointment seems to pass in minutes.
- Mild sedation to ease nerves while you stay alert
- Deeper options for high anxiety or longer procedures
- Combined comfortably with local anesthetic
Is sedation right for you?
You’re not “being difficult” — you’re human
Millions of people delay dental care out of fear, a strong gag reflex, trouble getting numb, or simply bad past experiences. Sedation helps with all of it. It’s also a smart choice for long appointments — letting us complete in one relaxed visit what might otherwise take several.
- Dental fear or previous traumatic visits
- Strong gag reflex or difficulty getting numb
- Combining multiple treatments into one visit
Sedation FAQs
What nervous patients want to know
Will I be unconscious?
Not with the levels we use — you’ll be deeply relaxed but responsive, able to breathe on your own and answer questions. Many patients doze lightly and remember little of the visit.
Is sedation safe?
Yes, when properly screened and monitored. We review your health history and medications first, and monitor you throughout the appointment. Be sure to tell us about any conditions and everything you take.
Can I drive myself home?
With mild options you can usually resume your day quickly. With deeper sedation, plan on a trusted adult driving you home and taking the rest of the day easy. We’ll tell you exactly what to expect beforehand.
Does insurance cover sedation?
Sometimes — often when paired with procedures like extractions. We’ll verify your benefits up front and quote any out-of-pocket cost before you commit, with financing available.
