Kids who enjoy the dentist become adults who keep their appointments. We keep early visits short, playful, and pressure-free — a ride in the chair, a count of the teeth, a new toothbrush to take home. As trust grows, so does the care.
We recommend a first visit by age one or within six months of the first tooth. Early visits let us catch issues while they’re tiny and coach parents on bottles, thumbs, and brushing.

When should braces enter the picture?
Around age seven we begin monitoring how the adult teeth and jaws are developing — the age orthodontists recommend a first evaluation. Because Dr. Barkhordar is orthodontically trained, that assessment happens right here at your child’s regular checkup, and if treatment is ever needed, the timing will be right.
